Beneath the Surface: Corals, Creatures & Changing Seas

  • This fall, Science Club goes beneath the surface. Using the aquarium as our living laboratory and our boats as floating classrooms. Students will monitor coral bleaching and investigate the impacts of a warming ocean, observe the behaviour of turtles, seals and fish, and discover how scientists and aquarists study and care for marine life. From collecting real data in the field to getting hands-on experience with aquarium conservation, including a turtle scrub, students will explore what our ocean animals can tell us about a changing sea, and how we can help protect them.

Fall Science Club Dates: October 3, October 10, October 31, November 7, November 14, November 21, November 28 and December 5.

    Times: 9:30am to 11:30am

Age Requirement: Participants must be 11 to 13 years old on the first day of Science Club.

Questions: Check out Science Club on our website or contact edadmin@bzs.bm.
